Inside, 22 AWG stranded tinned copper conductors (0.15 x 19) sit under polyethylene insulation in a twisted pair configuration with a 2.5-inch lay length at 4.8 twists per foot. A polyethylene inner jacket and dual-layer Duofoil shielding (100% aluminum foil-polyester tape plus 85% tinned copper braid) block EMI and RFI interference, keeping your DMX signal clean across long cable runs.

The nominal characteristic impedance is 110 ohms, meeting the DMX-512 specification that microphone cables (typically 50-75 ohms) do not satisfy. Nominal capacitance runs 12.8 pF/ft conductor to conductor and 23 pF/ft conductor to shield, with a 66% velocity of propagation. The PVC outer jacket has an overall nominal diameter of 0.229 inches and handles an operating temperature range of -30°C to +75°C.
