Accu-Cable AC5CDMX300 300 Foot 5-Pin Conductor DMX Lighting Cable Spool ADJ

The Accu-Cable AC5CDMX300 is a 300 foot spool of bulk 5-pin DMX cable for terminating your own runs. That is what you want for a permanent install: custom lengths cut to the room, wall plates, panel connections and conduit runs instead of coiling excess pre-made cable behind a rack.

The cable is 22 AWG stranded (0.15 x 19) tinned copper with polyethylene insulation, twisted pairs, a polyethylene inner jacket, Duofoil shielding at 100% coverage plus cotton and a tinned copper braid shield at 85% coverage, finished in a PVC jacket. A 110 ohm nominal impedance and that double shield are what hold DMX stable over long runs and near power feeds, where cheaper cable starts dropping values.

Mechanically it is rated from -30 C to +75 C with a 3.5 in minimum install bend radius and a 22 lb maximum recommended pull tension, so it can be pulled through conduit without damaging the conductors. Maximum recommended current is 2.1 amps per conductor at 25 C, and nominal capacitance is 12.5 pF/ft conductor to conductor at 1 kHz. Overall nominal diameter is .295 in.

Connectors are not included, so plan on 5-pin XLR ends for each run you build.
