Product Description

The D4 Branch RM takes one incoming DMX signal and splits it into four separate outputs, each electronically isolated from the others and each with a dedicated driver that boosts the signal back to full strength. Isolation is the part that saves shows: a fault, a bad cable or a failed fixture on one branch stays on that branch instead of taking down the whole universe.

Both 3-pin and 5-pin XLR connectors are provided on inputs and outputs, so it drops into a mixed rig without adapters. There are one 3-pin and one 5-pin isolated input, one 3-pin and one 5-pin passive loop output, and four 3-pin plus four 5-pin isolated outputs. A link/terminate button and a DMX status LED make troubleshooting a matter of pressing a button and watching a light rather than swapping cable by cable.

Boosting matters over distance and fixture count. Long runs and large daisy chains degrade DMX, and flickering fixtures at the end of a chain are usually a signal problem, not a fixture problem. Four boosted branches replace one overloaded chain.

The unit is a single rack space, 19" x 5.5" x 1.7" at 5.3 lb, with rack ears, screws and rubber pads included so it mounts or sits freestanding. It is fully DMX512 (1990) compliant, CE approved and FCC compliant. Good fits include touring racks, houses of worship, theaters, clubs and rental inventories.

Features

    • Faults Stay Contained

Each of the four outputs is electronically isolated, so a shorted cable or failed fixture on one branch cannot take the whole universe down.

    • Signal Back To Full Strength

Dedicated drivers on every output boost the incoming DMX, fixing the flicker and dropouts that show up at the end of long daisy chains.

    • No Adapters Needed

Both 3-pin and 5-pin XLR connectors appear on inputs and outputs, so mixed inventories of older and newer fixtures connect directly.

    • Troubleshoot In Seconds

A link/terminate button and DMX status LED let you isolate a problem branch by pressing a button instead of pulling cables one at a time.

    • Rack Or Bench Ready

One rack space with included ears, screws and rubber pads means it mounts in a touring rack or sits freestanding behind a console.
