DMX FX512

The DMX FX512 is a 19-inch, three-rack-space DMX controller for shows that mix moving heads with RGB LED fixtures. It outputs a full 512 DMX channels and handles up to 32 intelligent fixtures at 18 channels each, with 32 programmable scenes and 32 chases of up to 100 steps, five of which can run at the same time. Sixteen built-in effect generators, nine for moving lights and seven for RGB LED fixtures, give you movement and color chases without programming every step by hand. Sixteen channel faders, dedicated Pan/Tilt wheels, 16 effect and fixture select buttons, and a digital display keep the controls physical instead of buried in menus, and soft patching maps faders and wheels to the channels you want. RDM support lets you set fixture start channels and channel modes from the desk, so nobody climbs to every fixture during setup. A built-in mic with sensitivity adjustable from 0 to 100 percent triggers looks from the music. A 5-pin XLR DMX output feeds the rig and a front-panel USB port covers data backup and firmware updates. At 5.28 x 19 x 2.71 inches and 4.7 lb with rubber feet, it works racked in a case or loose on a front-of-house desk, which suits churches, nightclubs, stages, and event production crews that move between rooms.
