The Dotz Matrix is a 4 x 4 COB LED panel that works as a wash light, an audience blinder, or a pixel-mapped matrix. Sixteen 30W RGB tri COB LEDs mix color on a single board, so you get even color on stage with no separate red, green, and blue shadows. A 60-degree beam covers performers and set pieces at close range, putting out 2630 lux at 2 meters and 730 lux at 4 meters. Five DMX channel modes (3, 6, 7, 48, and 53) let you run it as a simple wash or take individual pixel control in the 48- and 53-channel modes, and four pixel flip options change panel orientation when it is rigged sideways or upside down. Away from a console it runs on auto, sound active, static color, or manual RGB dimmer modes using built-in colors and programs. Electronic dimming covers 0 to 100 percent with five dim curves for standard, stage, TV, architectural, and theatre work, plus pulse and strobe effects, and flicker-free operation keeps it clean on camera. Three and 5-pin XLR connectors chain data, and AC in/out daisy-chains up to five units on one 120V circuit. It is RDM compliant, fan cooled, ETL approved, and hangs from a single yoke at 18 lb, which suits theaters, clubs, bands, and touring stages.
