The ADJ EP Lens 2550Z is a high definition optical zoom lens assembly for the Encore Profile Pro WW and Encore Profile Pro Color ellipsoidals, covering a manual 25 to 50 degree field angle range. That is the wide end of profile lighting: short throws, low grids, side light from close positions, and full-stage coverage from a downstage bar.

The optical system pairs a plano-convex aspheric front lens with a bi-convex aspheric rear lens, both anti-reflective coated to carry as much output as possible to the stage. Lens movement is designed for one-handed operation, so field angle and focus can be set together while you steady yourself on a ladder.

Beam shaping uses 20 gauge stainless steel shutters, with cuts engineered to stay sharp without halation. Hard and soft beam edges are adjustable, and high impact, thermally insulated knobs and shutter handles stay comfortable after the fixture has been running under load.

Accessory handling is straightforward: sturdy gel frame holders with two accessory slots, plus a top mounted quick release electroplated black gel frame retainer for swapping frames from above.

The lens is an optional accessory for the Encore Profile Pro series, purchased separately so you can match beam angle to the venue instead of settling for a single fixed option.
