The Focus Spot 5Z takes the compact 200W moving head format and adds a second color wheel and two frost filters, which is what separates it from the 4Z. Two wheels, each with eight dichroic colors plus white, include CTO, CTB and UV filters and can be combined for split and layered color a single wheel cannot produce.

The 200W cool white LED engine feeds motorized focus and motorized zoom from 11 to 22 degrees. A gobo wheel carries six patterns plus open, five aluminum and one glass, all removable and rotatable, with a shake effect. Two indexable prisms, a rotating 6-facet circular and a rotating 5-facet linear, handle aerial work. Heavy frost turns the fixture into a wash, while light frost softens gobo and prism edges just enough to take the hard line off a projection.

Control covers DMX512 or internal programs in 19, 22 or 26-channel modes, with RDM, 16-bit fine pan and tilt over 630 degrees of pan and 270 of tilt, six dimming curve modes and 0-100% dimming. A color LCD with a 6-button menu handles setup, and a USB port takes firmware updates.

Power runs 90-240V with a 280W maximum draw, and locking power in/out plus 5-pin DMX in/out chain fixtures across a rig. Two cooling fans manage heat through long shows.

At 23 lb and 18 inches tall it hangs easily and fits the ADJ DRC MH road case. It suits live events and permanent installs in nightclubs, stages and houses of worship.
