The American DJ MDF2PSUX40 is a 1500W power supply for the MDF2 magnetic dance floor system, sized for a floor of up to 40 panels, the size that anchors a full ballroom. It accepts AC 100-240V at 50/60 Hz and outputs the DC 24V the panels run on, feeding the floor through the MDF2 edge power ramp. Current overload protection is built in, with trip timing that scales to how far past maximum load the supply is pushed, so a brief surge during a packed set does not shut down the floor. The operating range runs from -4F to 158F and the unit carries an IP20 rating, which means indoor use or protected placement outdoors, out of rain and standing water. At 12.8 x 5.6 x 6.1 inches, it stores in a road case with the rest of the floor hardware rather than taking a case of its own. Because the MDF2 family shares panels and ramps across every supply size, moving up to a larger floor later means adding panels and a bigger supply, not starting over.
