The RDM XS8 takes one DMX line and splits it into eight outputs on 5-pin XLR. Each output is driven separately, so a bad cable or a failed fixture on one branch does not take down the rest of the rig. It handles DMX512 and RDM, with a front panel protocol switch, so remote device management for addressing and feedback is available where your fixtures support it.

The chassis is a 19" single rack space, which means it lives in the same rack as your dimmers, wireless gear, and power distro instead of sitting loose behind the stage. Alongside the eight outputs there is a 5-pin input and a 5-pin thru for feeding another splitter further down the line, plus a link out termination switch to close the run properly.

Power is universal at 100-230V 50/60Hz through a fused input, and consumption is 3.1W at 120V, so it adds almost nothing to your rack load. Operating range covers -4°F to 113°F for hot rooms and cold outdoor installs.
