STARBURST

The Starburst is a rotating LED sphere that throws 34 razor-thin beams of colored light across walls, ceilings, and floors. As the head turns, those beams sweep the room and read as a moving field of stars: a modern take on a mirror ball that needs no separate pinspot.

Five 15W six-color LEDs make up a 50W source covering red, green, blue, white, yellow, and purple, giving saturated single colors and mixed shades rather than the washed-out output typical of small effect lights.

The 1 degree beam angle is the detail that decides how the effect looks. Tight shafts cut through darkness and fog and stay visible in mid-air, so the fixture works on surfaces and in the space between them. Add haze and the beams become the effect themselves.

Three operating modes cover different setups. Auto Run gives a hands-off show for a bar or lounge. Sound Active makes the beams rotate and pulse in time with the music, which fits mobile DJ work where nobody is running a desk. DMX-controlled mode opens 13 channels for programmed color, rotation speed, and strobe inside a cued show. Stand-alone and primary/secondary operation lock several units to the same look without a controller.

At 8 lb, with multi-voltage operation and an IEC power daisy chain rated for 20 units at 120V, it suits small and mid-size clubs, mobile rigs, roller rinks, party rooms, and seasonal installs.
