Product Description
Color sound-shapers add a per-voice effect on every voice except the cowbell, boosting harmonic content or adding grit, snap, and bite at the press of a button. Color changes can be sequenced, so a hat opens up or a snare bites harder at specific points in a pattern. Built-in output distortion pushes the whole kit into crunchier territory with a bypass switch when you want it clean.
Sequencing follows the architecture of the original DrumBrute. Sixty-four patterns hold up to 64 steps each, every drum track can run its own length for polyrhythms, and each drum has a separate accent. Song mode chains patterns into full arrangements, a Random knob generates variations, and Swing adds groove globally or per voice. The touch strip handles real-time beat repeat, and the Roller triggers drum rolls.
Connections cover internal, MIDI, and clock sync including 1PPS, 2PPQ, DIN24, and DIN48, plus a USB MIDI interface. A main output carries the full kit, while individual outputs for kick, snares, hats, and FM sound let you process and mix parts separately. A 3.5 mm headphone output with smart metronome override handles quiet practice. It measures 13.5 x 9.6 x 2.2 in and weighs 4 lb.
Features
-
Analog Voices That Hit
Ten analog drum sounds are generated by circuitry rather than samples, so the kick moves air and the snares stay audible in a dense mix.
-
Shape Each Drum Yourself
Color sound-shapers add grit, snap, or extra harmonics to individual voices, and those changes can be sequenced to shift tone across a pattern.
-
Sequencing With Room To Move
Sixty-four patterns of up to 64 steps, separate track lengths for polyrhythms, per-voice swing, and a Random knob keep beats from repeating identically.
-
Perform In Real Time
The touch strip creates glitchy beat-repeat breakdowns and the Roller triggers drum rolls, so fills happen under your fingers rather than in an editor.
-
Mix Parts Separately
Individual outputs for kick, snares, hats, and FM sound send each element to its own channel, giving you full control at the desk or in a DAW.
