KeyLab Essential 61 mk3 is a 61-note USB MIDI controller that sits between your hands, your DAW, and your sound library. The hybrid synth-piano keybed is velocity sensitive and responsive enough for both live playing and studio beat-making, with pitch and modulation wheels and a pedal input that accepts sustain, footswitch, or expression.

Controls are focused rather than crowded: one clickable encoder, nine rotary encoders, nine 30 mm faders, eight transport switches, four dedicated switches, and eight touch- and pressure-sensitive RGB pads. A 2.5 in LCD with contextual buttons shows parameter values and the current preset in real time, so you know what a knob is doing before you turn it.

DAW integration goes past generic mapping. Custom scripts cover Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase, and Bitwig Studio, and MCU/HUI support handles other workstations. Analog Lab V connects directly for browsing presets, adjusting sound parameters, and tweaking effects without touching the computer. Up to six user presets store your own control assignments.

Creative features include a multi-mode arpeggiator, chord mode with built-in and custom shapes, scale mode that locks the keybed to a chosen key, hold, and semitone transpose. The bundle covers Analog Lab V with over 2,000 sounds, Ableton Live Lite, Native Instruments The Gentleman, UVI Model D, two months of Loopcloud, and 40 Melodics lessons.

Built with a minimum of 40 percent recycled plastic and 100 percent recyclable packaging, it measures 35 x 9.45 x 2.76 in (890 x 240 x 70 mm) and weighs 6.8 lb.
