Arturia KeyStep 37-Key Sequencer USB MIDI DJ/Studio Keyboard Controller+Software

KeyStep 37 puts a 37-note Slimkey keyboard, a polyphonic step sequencer, an arpeggiator, and real-time MIDI CC control in a compact desktop unit. The keybed reads velocity and aftertouch, and an RGB LED above every key shows what the sequence, arpeggio, or scale is doing, so you can read the pattern at a glance instead of counting steps.

The sequencer stores eight polyphonic sequences of up to 64 steps with eight notes of polyphony, with Rest, Tie, and Legato note entry. Rate control and tap tempo, plus REC, PLAY, and STOP buttons, keep performance in your hands. The arpeggiator covers Up, Down, Inclusive, Exclusive, Random, Walk, Pattern, and Order. An advanced Chord mode plays pre-defined or user chords and can strum them, and scale quantization keeps improvised lines in key.

Connections make it the hub of a hybrid rig. MIDI in and out reach hardware synths, USB MIDI controls VST plugins, CV pitch, gate, and mod outputs patch into modular systems, and analog sync in and out keeps drum machines aligned. All of it can run at the same time. A DC power jack supports standalone, computer-free sessions.

At 21.7 x 5.78 x 1.38 in and 3.5 lb, it fits beside a laptop or on a shelf in a rack setup, and the included anti-ground loop adapter helps clean up noise in mixed hardware chains.
