Product Description

MiniLab MkII is a 25-key USB MIDI controller built around portability and hands-on control. The velocity-sensitive slim keybed sits in a body small enough for a backpack, and bus power means the only cable needed is the USB connection to a Mac or PC. It is class compliant, so nothing needs installing between unpacking and the first take.

Sixteen rotary encoders, two of them clickable, give direct access to synth parameters, plugin controls, and mixer settings, which is more knobs than most controllers this size offer. Two banks of eight velocity and pressure-sensitive pads with RGB backlighting handle drum programming and sample triggering, and two capacitive touch strips cover pitch bend and modulation. Eight user presets store different mappings for different sessions, so a live rig setup and a studio setup can live side by side.

Octave up and down buttons reach the full keyboard range, a sustain pedal jack adds proper piano control, and a Kensington security slot matters for rehearsal spaces and shared studios. The rugged construction handles being packed and unpacked repeatedly.

It fits a small home studio with limited desk space, a laptop rig used on trains and in hotel rooms, and a stage setup that needs knob control over software synths. Included software covers hundreds of synth, piano, organ, and string machine presets plus recording and arrangement, so the controller arrives with sounds ready to play.

Features

    • More Knobs Than Its Size Suggests

16 rotary encoders, two of them clickable, reach filter cutoffs, sends, and plugin parameters directly, cutting down on mouse work during a mix.

    • Pads For Beats And Samples

Two banks of eight velocity and pressure-sensitive pads with RGB backlighting cover drum programming and sample triggering with visual feedback in low light.

    • One Cable Setup

USB bus power and class compliant operation mean no adapter and nothing to install, so a laptop session starts within seconds of connecting.

    • Mappings For Every Session

Eight user presets hold separate control layouts, letting a live rig, a mixing template, and a favorite synth each keep their own assignments.

    • Ready For The Road

A rugged build at 14 inches wide and 3.3 lb, plus a Kensington security slot, suits shared studios, rehearsal rooms, and frequent transport.
