Audio Technica AT2020 Studio Recording Microphone Condenser Mic+Isolation Shield

This bundle pairs the Audio-Technica AT2020 cardioid condenser microphone with the Rockville RockShield 1 isolation shield, giving a home studio a way to record cleaner vocals without building a treated room. The AT2020's custom-engineered, low-mass diaphragm delivers extended frequency response and quick transient response, and its cardioid pattern already rejects sound from the sides and rear, but the RockShield 1 takes isolation further by wrapping the back of the mic in 1.5-inch-thick, high-density pyramid acoustic foam across three panels. That foam absorbs room reflections and off-axis sound before they reach the capsule, so a vocal sitting close to the mic gets redirected cleanly into it while ambient noise from the rest of the room stays out of the take. The shield mounts to a compatible microphone stand or sits on a tripod foot design on a countertop or desk, with 3/8-inch and 5/8-inch adapters covering most stand threads. A vented metal back plate helps with noise reflection reduction on top of the foam.
