AT2050 Studio Microphone + Isolation Shield

This bundle pairs the Audio-Technica AT2050 multi-pattern condenser microphone with the Rockville RockShield 1 isolation shield, giving a home studio a flexible microphone and a way to record it cleanly in an untreated room. The AT2050 switches between cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-eight polar patterns, adapting to vocals, other sources, or room capture without a second microphone, and its dual gold-vaporized diaphragms are aged for consistent performance over years of use. A switchable 80 Hz high-pass filter and 10 dB pad keep loud sources from distorting the signal, and a shock mount and pouch ship with the mic. The RockShield 1 wraps the back of the mic in 1.5-inch-thick, high-density pyramid acoustic foam across three panels, absorbing room reflections and off-axis sound so a vocal or other source close to the mic gets redirected cleanly into the capsule while ambient room noise stays out of the take. A vented metal back plate adds further noise reflection reduction, and an all-metal tripod desktop attachment lets the shield stand on its own or mount to a compatible stand. For a bedroom studio recording vocals in cardioid or capturing a duet in figure-eight, this shield closes much of the gap to a treated room.
