The ATH-E40 is a professional in-ear monitor built for performers who need to hear an accurate mix on stage. Its dual phase push-pull driver design improves fidelity and efficiency over a single conventional driver, delivering strong low end alongside balanced mids and highs.

On stage, isolation is the whole point. The specially designed housings block outside sound so you hear your monitor mix instead of the wash coming off the PA, and four sizes of silicone eartips (XS/S/M/L) let you find a seal that actually holds. A good seal is what produces both the isolation and the bass response; without it, an in-ear monitor sounds thin.

The memory cable loops over the ear, holding the earpiece in place through movement and keeping cable weight off the ear canal during long sets. At 10 g per side without cable, they stay comfortable across a full show or mix session.

Sensitivity is 107 dB/mW with 12 ohm impedance, so they reach usable level from a body-pack receiver or headphone output without extra amplification. Response covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz.

The 1.6 m (5.2 ft.) cable detaches at the earpieces using A2DC connectors, so a damaged cable is a replacement part rather than a new pair of monitors. A carrying case and 1/4 in. adapter are included.
