Product Description

The ATH-M50x ENSO is a 2025 limited edition marking ten years of the ATH-M50x, which launched in 2014. The name comes from the enso circle of Japanese painting, drawn in one continuous motion, echoing both the return to an all-black design and the rings on the earcups.

Cosmetically it is its own thing. The matte black finish carries custom engravings on the rings and headband sliders drawn from sumi ink brush strokes and audio frequency waves, and each pair is engraved with a serial number. Packaging was designed specifically for the release.

Underneath, it is the M50x. Proprietary 45 mm large-aperture drivers with rare earth magnets and copper-clad aluminum wire voice coils reproduce 15-28,000 Hz with clarity across the range and deep, accurate bass. Impedance is 38 ohms at 99 dB sensitivity with 1,600 mW maximum input power.

Circumaural earcups seal for isolation in loud rooms, and they swivel 90 degrees for one-ear monitoring during DJ sets and tracking sessions. The frame collapses for transport, and the pad materials handle daily use.

Three detachable cables come in the box, covering a studio desk, a mixing position across a room, and a mobile setup.

It suits studio tracking and mixing, DJ monitoring, and personal listening, with a finish a collector will care about.

Features

    • A Ten-Year Anniversary Edition

The 2025 ENSO release marks a decade of the ATH-M50x with a return to all-black styling and packaging created specifically for the campaign.

    • Engravings You Will Not Find Elsewhere

Custom engravings on the rings and headband sliders draw on sumi ink brush strokes and audio frequency waves, unique to this limited edition.

    • Every Pair Is Numbered

An engraved serial number on each set of matte black headphones makes the pair individually identifiable, which matters to anyone buying a limited run.

    • The Same Studio Performance

Proprietary 45 mm large-aperture drivers cover 15-28,000 Hz with deep, accurate bass, so the finish is special but the monitoring is unchanged.

    • Three Cables and a Pouch

Coiled, long straight, and short straight detachable cables plus a protective pouch cover studio desks, mixing positions, and travel between rooms.
