Audio Technica ATW-1101/H System 10 Digital Wireless Headset Microphone System

The ATW-1101/H is a hands-free wireless system built around the PRO 8HEcW hypercardioid dynamic headworn microphone. The mic sits close to the mouth on a 55" (1.4 m) cable terminated in a locking 4-pin connector, and its hypercardioid pattern rejects sound from the sides and rear: useful for fitness instructors, presenters, and vocalists working in front of loud monitors.

The system runs at 24-bit/48 kHz in the 2.4 GHz range, away from TV and DTV interference. Channel selection and sync happen instantly, with a digital ID display on both the ATW-R1100 receiver and ATW-T1001 UniPak transmitter. Up to eight channels operate together with no frequency coordination required.

Three levels of diversity assurance protect the signal. Frequency diversity transmits on two dynamically allocated frequencies, time diversity spreads audio across multiple time slots against multipath, and space diversity puts two antennas on each unit. Typical operating range is 30 m (100 ft) with a 20 Hz to 20 kHz response.

The receiver provides balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" outputs with level control for any console or powered speaker. The transmitter runs over 7 hours on two AA alkaline batteries. A windscreen is included with the headworn mic.
