Product Description
The boom microphone uses a cardioid pattern and a frequency response shaped for speech, so voices come through natural and intelligible while crowd noise arriving from the sides and rear drops back. Neodymium magnets in both the microphone and the 40 mm headphone drivers give high output and detailed reproduction, and the closed-back circumaural ear cups seal around the ears to keep stadium noise out of the monitor mix.
The flexible gooseneck boom swivels front to back, so the microphone can sit on the left or right side depending on how you work or where your co-host is seated. Positioning holds once you set it. An adjustable cushioned headband and light overall weight of 9.3 oz keep the headset comfortable through a full game or a long broadcast shift.
Serviceability is part of the design. The BPCB1 cable detaches and the ear pads are user-replaceable, so normal wear does not take the headset out of rotation. The 3.3 m (10.8') cable terminates in a 3-pin XLRM-type connector for the microphone and a 1/4" three-conductor plug for the headphones, which drops straight into a broadcast console, a field mixer, or a camera channel. Three windscreens and a spare connector screw are included.
Features
-
Heard Over The Crowd
The cardioid dynamic mic rejects off-axis sound and its response is shaped for speech, so your voice cuts through a packed arena on air.
-
Hear Your Program Feed
Closed-back circumaural ear cups seal around the ears, keeping stadium noise out so you can follow the director and the program mix.
-
Set Up On Either Side
The flexible gooseneck boom swivels front to back, letting you place the mic on the left or right depending on your booth layout.
-
Comfortable Through A Full Game
At 9.3 oz with an adjustable cushioned headband, the headset stays wearable across long broadcast shifts without pressure points.
-
Serviceable, Not Disposable
The BPCB1 cable detaches and the ear pads swap out, so the two parts that wear first can be replaced instead of the whole headset.
