Audio Technica Boom Arm for USB Microphone Recording/Streaming Computer Mics

The Audio-Technica P11998 is an adjustable studio boom arm for USB microphones used in podcasting, streaming, and desktop recording. It lifts the microphone off the desk surface, which stops keyboard clatter and desk bumps from traveling into the capsule and gets the mic to mouth height without a tabletop stand eating your workspace.

The arm rotates a full 360 degrees and extends 2.5 feet from its base, so a single mount covers a seated position, a standing desk, or a second chair pulled in for an interview. Spring-stabilized joints with thumbscrews hold position under the weight of a large-diaphragm USB mic and loosen by hand when you want to reposition, so adjustments happen mid-session without tools.

A clamp fastens the arm to desks, tables, and other flat surfaces up to 55 mm (2.2") thick, which covers most sit-stand desktops and thicker butcher-block tops. The pre-wired Audio-Technica USB cable, Type B to Type A, runs 3 m (10') from the base and is routed inside the arm rather than dangling in the shot. Internal cable management keeps the desk clean on camera and stops the cable from snagging as the arm moves.

If you are running a non-USB microphone, the built-in cable can be cut and removed and your own XLR cable run through the arm instead, so the mount stays useful when your setup changes.
