ATK2/3X

The Autotek ATK2/3X is an active crossover that splits your signal before it reaches the amplifiers, so each speaker only sees the frequencies it was built to reproduce. Run it as a 2-way system with front and rear outputs, or as a 3-way system once you add a subwoofer amplifier. Selectable 12dB front and rear crossover points and a selectable 12dB low-pass output let you set where the handoff happens instead of relying on fixed filters inside a head unit.

Sending mids and highs to your door speakers while routing low frequencies to the subwoofer amp reduces the load on every channel. Door speakers stop trying to reproduce bass they cannot handle, the subwoofer amp works in its own range, and the whole system plays louder with less distortion at the same volume setting.

A phase inverter switch shifts subwoofer output 180 degrees relative to the front and rear outputs. That single switch fixes cancellation between the sub and the door speakers, which is common when the sub is mounted in a trunk facing away from the cabin.

The included wired bass remote mounts within reach of the driver seat, so you can pull bass back for a podcast and bring it up again for music without pulling over. Frequency response runs 10 Hz to 50,000 Hz with 8.5 volts maximum output, greater than 90dB signal-to-noise, and a compact 7.75 x 6.5 x 1.75 inch chassis that tucks under a seat or behind a panel.
