Product Description

The Autotek TA-1255.2 is a Class A/B two-channel car amplifier rated at 1200W maximum power. It delivers 2 x 600W at 2 ohms, 2 x 300W at 4 ohms, and bridges to 1 x 1200W at 4 ohms. It also runs stereo and bridged mono at the same time, so one amplifier can handle a pair of speakers and a subwoofer.

Class A/B topology is the reason to pick this one. The circuit prioritizes sound quality, developing high output with minimal distortion, which suits systems built around midrange detail rather than raw bass output alone.

High-level inputs let you tap into a factory audio system that has no RCA outputs, so you can add amplifier power without replacing the head unit. RCA inputs are there when you have them, and a low noise preamplifier circuit keeps interference out of the signal path either way. Variable input voltage spans 0.2 to 9V, which handles both weak factory signals and high-output aftermarket sources.

A variable electronic 12dB per octave crossover and switchable bass boost at 0, +6 or +12dB let you shape output at the amplifier. Sound Shield Technology adds mass to the aluminum heat sink so heat stays away from the signal, and PRO-FI High Speed MOSFETs handle the output stage.

Nickel-plated brass terminals take 4 AWG power and 12 AWG speaker wire, and LED indicators report overload and speaker short protection. The chassis measures 13 x 11.75 x 4 inches and weighs 4.8 lb.

Features

    • Class A/B For Sound Quality

The Class A/B circuit develops high output with minimal distortion, suiting systems built around midrange and vocal detail rather than bass output alone.

    • Keep The Factory Head Unit

High-level inputs tap directly into an OEM system with no RCA outputs, adding amplifier power without replacing the dash or its controls.

    • Two Configurations, One Amp

Stereo, bridged mono, or both at once means the TA-1255.2 can run door speakers and a subwoofer from a single chassis.

    • Bass Boost In Three Steps

Switchable 0, +6 and +12dB bass boost with a variable 12dB per octave crossover adjusts low end without touching the head unit settings.

    • Signal Match For Any Source

Variable input voltage from 0.2 to 9V accepts weak factory signals and high-output aftermarket sources, keeping gain setting straightforward during install.
