PM3100 PodMaster Run-N-Gun Shotgun Microphone

The CAD PodMaster Run-N-Gun PM3100 is a shotgun condenser microphone for people who record away from a desk. Its hypercardioid shotgun pattern narrows pickup to what sits in front of the barrel and rejects crowd noise, traffic and room reflections from the sides, which is the difference between usable dialogue and a take you have to re-shoot. Frequency response covers 20Hz to 20kHz for clear, detailed reproduction of voices and ambience in podcasts, IRL streams, gaming, voiceover, video and home studio projects. The kit is built around flexibility on location. The microphone terminates in 3.5mm TRS and ships with a TRS cable plus TRRS and USB adapters, so the same microphone connects to a DSLR, a smartphone, an action cam or a laptop without buying anything else. A selfie stick tripod stand with an integrated cold shoe mount works handheld for walk-and-talk or folds out on a table for a seated interview, and a separate cold shoe mic mount attaches it to a camera. The DeadCat artificial fur windscreen cuts wind noise outdoors, where a foam cover alone gives up. All metal construction survives being tossed in a bag between shoots.
