CBT 70J-1 + ATW-901a/H

This bundle pairs the JBL CBT 70J-1 line array column speaker with the Audio-Technica ATW-901a/H System 9 wireless headset microphone, giving churches, lecture halls, auditoriums, and conference rooms a hands-free speech setup built around even, intelligible coverage. The presenter wears the headset, the ATW-R900a receiver sends the signal to your mixer or amplifier over balanced XLR or unbalanced 1/4" outputs, and the column spreads that voice across the room without the hot spots and dead zones common to straight columns.

The CBT 70J-1 uses Constant Beamwidth Technology to hold consistent vertical coverage up to the highest frequencies, and its asymmetrical pattern sends more sound toward the back of the room so the last row hears nearly as well as the first. Sixteen 1 in soft dome tweeters and four 5 in low-frequency drivers handle 500 W continuous (2000 W peak). One switch sets vertical coverage to 45° for medium throw or 25° for long throw, and another flips voicing between flat music mode and a speech mode with a mid-range presence peak that helps the spoken word cut through. The included swivel and tilt wall bracket gives up to ±80° of pan and ±15° of tilt for precise aiming.

On the wireless side, System 9 offers four frequency-coordinated VHF channels between 169.505 and 171.905 MHz, up to 200 ft of operating range, and a body-pack transmitter that runs about 8 hours on two AA batteries. A pastor, teacher, or presenter can walk the stage or the aisle and still be heard clearly in every seat.
