CBT 70J-1 + CBT 70JE-1 Line Array System

This pairing puts the CBT 70J-1 two-way line array column and its matching CBT 70JE-1 extension together, giving auditoriums, lecture halls, stadiums, and theme parks a tall, tightly controlled column system that keeps speech and music clear from the front row to the back wall. The CBT 70J-1 carries sixteen 1" soft dome tweeters and four 5" low-frequency drivers arranged coaxially, and Constant Beamwidth Technology uses analog delay beam-forming and amplitude tapering to hold a consistent vertical pattern without the narrow beaming and lobing typical of straight columns. Its asymmetrical vertical coverage sends more sound toward the far end of the room, so listeners in the back hear levels much closer to those up front.

Stacking the CBT 70JE-1 on top with the included coupler plate adds four more 5" low-frequency drivers and a dedicated crossover, extending bass response down to 45 Hz, carrying pattern control lower in frequency, and raising overall output. One switch sets vertical coverage to 45° for medium throw or 25° for long throw, and another picks flat music voicing or a speech mode with a midrange presence peak. Each section handles 500W, Dynamic SonicGuard protects the HF drivers from overload, and the CBT 70J-1's fiberglass-reinforced ABS cabinet and painted aluminum grille reach an IP-55 rating with the optional MTC-PC2 panel cover. The included swivel/tilt wall bracket offers ±80° pan and ±15° tilt, so the array can be aimed exactly where the audience sits.
