The Celestion FTR12-3070C is a 12-inch pro audio woofer built for bass and mid-range duty in demanding PA cabinets, whether that is a subwoofer enclosure or the low end of a full-range cabinet. It carries a 350W continuous power rating with a 700W program rating and an 8 ohm impedance, giving system builders real headroom for high-SPL touring and installed sound applications. A cast aluminum chassis keeps the frame rigid under heavy excursion, while an airflow-vented magnet assembly moves heat away from the voice coil during sustained high-power use, helping the driver hold its output over long sets rather than compressing as it warms up. The glass-loaded paper cone includes weather-resistant impregnation, useful for outdoor rigs or venues where humidity is a factor, and a 75mm round copper voice coil on a glass fiber former is built to take the mechanical stress of high power handling. Sensitivity comes in at 96dB, and the frequency range runs from 40Hz to 4,000Hz, covering the low end through the low-mid range depending on how the cabinet is tuned. At 6.3kg, the driver is manageable to handle during cabinet assembly, and its Thiele-Small parameters, including an Fs of 65.1Hz and a Vas of 43.7 liters, give cabinet designers the data they need to build an enclosure tuned specifically around this driver rather than guessing at a generic box size.
