FTR15-3070C

The Celestion FTR15-3070C is a 15-inch low and mid frequency driver for pro audio PA cabinets. It handles 400W AES and 800W continuous at 8 Ohm and returns 99dB sensitivity, a high figure that means more acoustic output per watt and more headroom left in the amplifier. The 40Hz to 4,000Hz range covers bass and vocal frequencies, so a single driver can carry the low end of a two-way top or the body of a floor monitor. Full gap flux saturation increases Bl and reduces distortion, keeping the sound clean as levels climb. The glass loaded paper cone carries weather-resistant impregnation for outdoor and mobile use, and an airflow vented magnet assembly disperses heat through long sets. A 75mm copper voice coil on a glass fibre former runs in a ferrite motor with a cast aluminium chassis. Parameters (Fs 41.4Hz, Qts 0.382, Vas 187.62 litres) suit vented two-way and monitor designs. Unit weight is 13.8 lb, which is light for a 15, with a 351mm cut-out and eight mounting holes for straightforward cabinet fitting or replacement.
