G10 Greenback 8 Ohm

The Celestion G10 Greenback brings back the sound of the classic 1970s 10-inch guitar speaker: low in output, big in tone. Rated at 30W into 8 Ohm with 95dB sensitivity and a 95Hz to 5,500Hz range, it carries the weighty low-end balance of a 12-inch speaker in a 10-inch frame, along with a complex midrange and mellow vintage top end. Overdrive stays warm and detailed instead of turning brittle, which is why this voicing has stayed in demand for decades. Drop one into a small combo and a flat-sounding amp picks up character and body. Build four into a 4x10 and you get a raunchy, full-bodied tone with real low-end thump, well suited to blues, classic rock, and studio work. The 8 Ohm rating is the common match for most single-speaker combos and simplifies series wiring in multi-speaker cabinets. A ceramic magnet and 1.75-inch round copper voice coil on a pressed steel chassis keep the unit at 3.5 lb with 102mm overall depth, so it fits shallow cabinets other drivers cannot clear.
