The Celestion G12H Anniversary is the 12-inch ceramic guitar speaker for players chasing the classic sounds of 60s and 70s rock. Originally re-released for the company 70th anniversary, it pairs a heavy 50oz ceramic magnet with a 1.75-inch copper voice coil to produce an aggressive low end, powerful low mids, an attacking upper midrange, and an ice-cool top end. Rated at 30W into 8 Ohm with 100dB sensitivity across 75Hz to 5,000Hz, it is loud for its power rating and starts breaking up at levels a low-wattage amp can actually reach. Used on its own it gives soft amp tones real attitude, and in quartets it cuts through loud stage volume for chord work while adding a hard edge to single notes. It is a long-standing favourite in the boutique amplifier market, often run on its own or paired with an alnico speaker such as the Blue or Gold to add ceramic bite to alnico chime in a 2x12.
