G12M-65 Creamback 16 Ohm

The Celestion G12M-65 Creamback takes the woody G12M voicing that defined mid-sixties British rock and gives it the power handling today amps need. Rated at 65W into 16 Ohm with 97dB sensitivity and a 75Hz to 5,000Hz range, it keeps the familiar warm, vocal midrange, crunchy upper mids, and sweet highs of the original G12M while adding low-end grunt that comes with the higher rating. That makes it a practical choice when you want vintage character from a modern amplifier that would flatten a 25W speaker in a week. Use one in a combo, a pair in a 2x12, or four in a 4x12 where the extra low-end weight fills out the bottom of the cabinet. The 16 Ohm rating is for heads that specify a 16 Ohm load, and it keeps series-parallel wiring in a 4x12 simple.
