TF1225

The Celestion TF1225 is a 12-inch bass and mid driver on a pressed steel chassis with a ferrite magnet. It handles 250W AES and 500W continuous at 8 Ohm with 97dB sensitivity and a 50Hz to 4,000Hz range, which covers the low end and most of the vocal range in a two-way cabinet. A 64mm copper voice coil on a polyimide former and a Kevlar loaded paper cone with cloth-sealed surround keep the moving assembly stable through 4.5mm of Xmax. Parameters (Fs 55.6Hz, Qts 0.370, Vas 67.27 litres, Bl 14.32Tm) suit vented two-way tops and floor monitors of moderate size. Pressed steel construction keeps the price and the weight down at 9.0 lb, which matters for portable systems and multi-cabinet installs where every driver adds up. The 283mm cut-out with four mounting holes on a 297mm PCD follows the standard 12-inch pattern, so it works as a replacement in existing cabinets as well as in new builds. Also available in 4 Ohm.
