V-Type

The Celestion V-Type is a 12-inch guitar speaker built on a balanced recipe of old and new design techniques, producing a modern vintage sound that works across playing styles. It handles 70W into 8 Ohm with 98dB sensitivity and a 70Hz to 5,000Hz range. Clean tones stay true across lows, mids, and highs, with just enough upper-mid chime and high-frequency sparkle to keep chord voicings clear and defined. Turn the amp up and it produces a sizzling overdrive with raw rock character, backed by mid-band warmth that gives lead notes body and substance rather than leaving them thin. The 70W rating covers most valve and solid-state amps, so it works as a single-speaker upgrade in a combo or as a full load-out in a 2x12 or 4x12. A 0.88kg ceramic magnet and 1.75-inch round copper voice coil on a pressed steel chassis bring unit weight to 7.2 lb with 123mm overall depth, making it one of the lighter 12-inch options in the range. Cut-out diameter is 283mm with eight mounting holes on a 297mm PCD.
