Cumulus HP produces thick low-lying fog that hugs the floor, the effect behind first dances and dramatic entrances, without dry ice or a separate chiller. An onboard ultrasonic atomizer converts distilled water into a fine mist that cools the fog and keeps it low instead of rising into the room. Output reaches 15,000 cfm and heat-up takes about 2 minutes, so the machine is ready shortly after load-in and produces fog on demand through continuous operation rather than making you wait between bursts. Tank capacity is 2 gal of water and 0.5 gal of fog fluid, with consumption at 87 ml/min for water and 11 ml/min for fog fluid, enough for a full reception on one fill. Control works three ways: the built-in digital display, 2-channel DMX over 3-pin XLR, or the included wireless remote. The included hose extends from 14 to 126 in with a floor nozzle, so the machine can sit offstage and out of sight while fog appears where the crowd is looking. The rugged plastic housing doubles as its own case, and the unit is smaller and lighter than earlier low-lying foggers at 34.6 lb. Use LLG fluid. It draws 1,608 W at 120 V, so plan a dedicated circuit.
