Product Description

Data Stream 8 distributes and boosts incoming DMX from two separate inputs across eight outputs. A single 3-position switch routes input A or input B to all eight outputs at once, while individual 2-position switches let each output pull from either source on its own. Both inputs stay live at the same time, so one console can feed the dance floor rig while a second controller runs uplighting from the same box. Every output is optically isolated from the others, so a short or a damaged cable on one run stays contained instead of taking down the system. Signal boosting matters on long cable runs and high fixture counts, where signal loss shows up as flicker and missed cues at the far end of the chain. The 1U rack chassis fits standard racks and road cases, and a threaded insert lets you clamp the unit straight to truss when rack space is not available. Auto-ranging 100 to 240 VAC input handles domestic and international power, and draw is minimal at 2 W. Data Stream 8 suits permanent club and venue installs, houses of worship running multiple control positions, and touring rigs that push DMX to several truss positions at once. At 4.6 lb it adds almost nothing to case weight.

Features

    • Two Control Sources, One Box

Dual DMX inputs stay active at the same time, so a console and a second controller can each run their own outputs from a single splitter.

    • Signal That Holds Up

Data Stream 8 boosts incoming DMX before sending it out, keeping cues accurate across long cable runs and high fixture counts.

    • Routing You Can Change Fast

A 3-position switch sends either input to all eight outputs, while per-output switches let you split control between zones in seconds.

    • Fault Containment

Each of the eight outputs is optically isolated, so a short on one cable run stays on that run instead of taking down the whole system.

    • Rack Or Truss Mounting

The 1U chassis racks in a standard case and a threaded insert clamps the unit safely to overhead truss when rack space runs out.
