HFG

HFG is a water-based haze fluid sold by the gallon, formulated specifically for water-based haze machines. It is the improved replacement for HJU. Haze is not fog. Instead of visible clouds that billow and dissipate, HFG generates a thin, even mist that hangs in the air and does one job well: making light beams visible. A rig of moving heads, gobo projectors, or lasers looks flat in clean air and dimensional the moment there is haze in the room, which is why touring productions run hazers all night rather than firing fog on cues. The formula does not stain or leave residue, so it is usable in rooms with fabric drape, carpet, and furniture that someone else owns. It is non-toxic, non-flammable, and unscented, which matters at seated dinners and corporate presentations where a scented fluid becomes a complaint. Net contents are 1 gal (3.8 L) at 8.9 lb, in a bottle measuring 6 x 6 x 11.8 in that stores upright in a road case.
