Hurricane Haze 1DX puts a thin, even layer of water-based haze in the air so beams from your lighting rig read as solid shafts instead of disappearing into the room. The 188 W heater is ready in about one minute, and the 0.4 gal (1.5 L) tank feeds 800 cfm of output at 4 ml/min, which is enough atmosphere for a long night on a single fill. Run it stand-alone from the digital display, where you set haze output and blower speed by hand, or hand it over to a console using the single DMX channel on the 3-pin XLR connector. A built-in fluid sensor stops the pump when the tank runs low, protecting the pump from dry cycling. At 7.2 lb and 11 x 6 x 9 in, it fits in a corner of the stage, under a table, or in the last open pocket of a gear case, which makes it practical for mobile DJs, small clubs, wedding receptions, and house of worship stages. It runs on HFG haze fluid.
