Intimidator Spot 260X is a 75 W compact moving head that fits mobile rigs where weight and case space matter: 12.2 lb, 9.1 x 6.4 x 13.8 in. The cool white LED produces 17,458 lux at 2 m at the 12 degree zoom setting, with manual zoom from 12 to 17 degrees for short or long throws. An updated CTO color wheel carries eight colors plus white with split colors and continuous scroll, and seven gobos, six metal and one glass, are rotating and interchangeable with slot-and-lock. Motorized focus keeps patterns sharp from nearly any distance, and a 3-facet round prism splits the beam over a larger area. Pan and tilt run 540 by 234 degrees, and the new home position prevents the whip-around start that older movers produce when a look triggers. Totem mode keeps beams over the dance floor, and one scene can be set, saved, and recalled directly from the full-color LCD display. Run it over 8 or 14 DMX channels on 3-pin XLR, or link up to four fixtures for synchronized shows in Automated or Sound mode. The built-in RF receiver adds control through the optional RFC or RFC-XL remotes, and powerCON-compatible connections speed up load-in. Finished in white, which blends into light ceilings, drape, and tenting at weddings and corporate events where a black fixture reads as clutter.
