Stage Designer 50 is a 48-channel DMX-512 dimming console built around manual faders rather than menus. Eight pages of 12 scenes each give 96 total playback faders available for simultaneous playback, with 96,000 programmable steps of storage behind them.

That layout suits operators who want a physical fader under every look. You can build a full show, then run it live by hand, crossfading between scenes with the built-in cross fader and killing output instantly with the dark and kill buttons. Chase and fade times are adjustable, chases can link sequentially or play simultaneously, and any chase can be overridden on the fly when the show does not follow the plan.

Channels are re-assignable, and two programmable aux buttons cover the cues you hit most. Triggering options include beat activation, tap sync, auto run and MIDI in, with MIDI out and thru also present for file dump and for chaining to other gear. A direct audio input handles sound-active operation without an external mic.

Both 3-pin and 5-pin DMX connections are onboard, plus a polarity selector for older fixtures wired to a different standard. The console mounts in six rack spaces or sits on a table at 19 in wide and 10.3 lb.
