Product Description

Swarm Wash FX ILS puts four effects in one housing: an RGBAW rotating derby, an RGB+UV wash, a red and green laser, and a ring of white SMD strobes. For a mobile setup, that replaces four fixtures, four power drops and four spots on the truss.

The derby throws rotating beams across the room. The wash fills the space with color and adds a UV blacklight look. The 100 mW red and 30 mW green laser diodes project thousands of beams for coverage across a ceiling or dance floor. The strobe ring at 20 Hz adds hard accents on a drop. Coverage angles run 82° for the laser, 65° for the derby, 71° for the strobe and 46° for the wash.

Running it is simple. Automated and sound-activated programs generate complex looks with nothing connected, which is the point for a solo operator who is also running music. When you want control, it takes 2 or 18 DMX channels over 3-pin XLR, links into coordinated ILS shows with other ILS fixture types, accepts D-Fi USB for wireless DMX, and responds to the IRC-6 remote.

Power draw is 51 W, allowing 11 linked units at 120 V. At 9.5 lb it fits the CHS-40 VIP gear bag.
