XPRESSRACK1024

Xpress-Rack 1024 is the rackmount DMX interface for ShowXpress software, built for installations rather than a laptop bag. It controls two full DMX universes and unlocks a third over ArtNet, giving 1,536 channels of control from one rack space.

Standalone capability is what separates it from a USB dongle. Sixteen shows store inside the unit and play back with no computer connected, triggered from onboard buttons or the included remote. Eight of those scenes can also be triggered remotely through the Phoenix contacts, which is how you tie lighting to a wall panel, a building automation system or a show control trigger.

A built-in clock and calendar fires scenes automatically on schedule. For a bar, a restaurant, a retail space or a church lobby, that means the lighting comes up and changes through the day without anyone touching it.

Both DMX outputs are electrically and optically isolated, protecting the interface and the connected computer from ground faults and voltage problems on long cable runs. The unit is hot-swappable and reconnects within seconds, and it works with Windows and Mac OS X. Additional interfaces can be connected when a rig outgrows three universes.
