Control 416C/T Pair + MTC-416WG Weather Grilles

This bundle pairs two JBL Control 416C/T 6.5" coaxial ceiling speakers with a matching set of MTC-416WG weatherized magnetic grilles, giving restaurants, bars, and retail spaces full-range background music with protection for the humid corners of a venue. Each speaker combines a 165 mm paper-cone woofer with a 20 mm soft-dome tweeter, covering 61 Hz to 20 kHz with a 120° conical pattern and up to 108 dB continuous output, so music and announcements stay clear and full across a dining room or bar floor.

A built-in multi-tap transformer runs each speaker on 70V taps at 30W, 15W, 7.5W, or 3.8W, or on 100V and 8-ohm direct input, so the pair drops into a distributed commercial amp line or a low-impedance system. Power handling is rated at 75W continuous (300W peak) over two hours, with 89 dB sensitivity to get good volume from modest tap settings.

The included weather grilles are the part you would otherwise order separately. They swap in for the stock grilles over high-humidity areas like covered patios and pool areas, while the standard full-face magnetic grilles (white, paintable) stay on in dry rooms for a clean look that matches the ceiling. Both attach magnetically with a safety tether that mounts into the baffle.

Installation is built for repeat work: top or side cable entry, captive dogears that grip a wide range of ceiling thicknesses, an integrated back can sized for most plenum spaces, and UL 2043 listing for air handling spaces. Each speaker carries an IP33 rating and needs an 8.8" ceiling cutout.
