CDi DriveCore 4|600

The Crown CDi DriveCore 4|600 is a four-channel installation amplifier that supplies 600 W per channel at 4 ohms and outputs 70Vrms or 100Vrms directly, with no step-up transformer at the output. Direct constant-voltage output saves rack space and weight while holding audio quality across long distributed speaker lines in cinemas, houses of worship, bars, and lounges.

Crown DriveCore technology consolidates hundreds of discrete components into a single chip. Fewer parts means less variation between units and higher reliability in equipment closets that run year-round. The chassis measures 19" x 3.5" x 12.25" and weighs 16.3 lb (7.39 kg).

Signal processing is on board and per channel: an input router, input delay up to 1000 ms, 8-band input parametric EQ, crossover, 8-band output parametric EQ, output delay up to 100 ms, and the LevelMAX limiter. Factory JBL SpeakerTunings ship preloaded, so matching a common ceiling or surface speaker is a menu selection rather than a manual EQ session.

Configuration works two ways. The front-panel interface covers full setup at the rack, and HiQnet Audio Architect software controls, configures, and monitors the amplifier over a standard network, which matters when one integrator supports several buildings. A combined GPIO/AUX port recalls presets, mutes channels, reports faults, and switches the amplifier on and off from a third-party control system or a wall panel.

Performance figures include 0.7V RMS sensitivity, analog input signal-to-noise above 104 dB, damping factor above 1000, frequency response within +/-0.25 dB, and crosstalk above 80 dB below rated power. Power comes through a 15A IEC connector, 100 - 240V.
