Product Description

The Crown DCi 4|1250 is a four-channel DriveCore Install amplifier rated at 1250 W per channel, built for large installed systems that need high power density in two rack units. Load impedance runs 2 to 16 ohms in stereo and dual mode plus 70Vrms and 100Vrms constant voltage, and bridged pairs handle 4 to 16 ohms or 140Vrms and 200Vrms.

Constant-voltage output is direct, with no step-up transformer, so installers can run smaller gauge wiring over long distances while keeping audio quality high. Each channel selects Hi-Z or Low-Z independently, which means one amplifier can feed a pair of low-impedance subwoofers on two channels and hundreds of 70V ceiling speakers on the other two. Channel pairs bridge even in 100Vrms mode for higher-power loads such as subwoofers.

An advanced power factor corrected universal supply accepts 100V to 240V at 50/60 Hz through a 20A IEC connector and converts it efficiently, so less energy turns into heat inside the rack. Cooling is continuously variable speed with front-to-back airflow, and maximum fan noise is 47 dBA at 1 m: quiet enough for racks near occupied rooms. A remote on/off interface lets a control system shut the amplifier down outside operating hours.

Measured performance includes frequency response of ±0.25 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz at 8 ohms, total harmonic distortion of 0.35% at full rated power, and damping factor above 1500. The chassis measures 19" x 3.5" x 17" and weighs 30 lb.
