CRA-2000.4

The Crunch CRA-2000.4 is a four-channel Class D car amplifier rated at 2000W max power, built to run a full set of speakers or a bridged subwoofer pair from a single chassis. It puts out 4 x 250W at 4 ohms, 4 x 500W at 2 ohms, and 2 x 1000W bridged at 4 ohms, so it scales from a simple front-and-rear speaker upgrade to a four-speaker plus bass system without adding a second amp.

A switch mode power supply holds output steady as battery voltage rises and falls, which keeps volume consistent at idle and protects speakers from spikes at higher RPM. Fully adjustable 12dB high-pass and low-pass crossovers sweep 40Hz to 400Hz, so door speakers get midbass while bridged channels handle low frequencies.

Both RCA and high-level inputs are on board. The high-level inputs with auto turn-on tie directly into factory head units that have no preamp outputs, so the amp works behind a stock dash. Input sensitivity adjusts from 0.2V to 6V to match nearly any source unit.

Class D circuitry with Crunch SPEED-FET MOSFET output devices keeps current draw and heat low, and the added mass in the Quick Thermal Dispersion aluminum heat sink holds temperatures down through long listening sessions. Nickel-plated brass screw-down terminals accept 4 AWG power and ground plus 8 GA speaker wire and resist corrosion in a trunk or under a seat. An LED diagnostic indicator on the end panel reports overload and speaker short conditions at a glance. Frequency response runs 10Hz to 30kHz with THD under 1.0%, and external 75A fusing protects the install.
