The Crunch GP-1000.2 Ground Pounder is a two-channel Class A/B amplifier rated at 1000W max power. It puts out 2 x 250W at 4 ohms, 2 x 500W at 2 ohms, and 1 x 1000W bridged into 4 ohms, so one amp can handle a pair of door speakers, a pair of 6x9s, or a single subwoofer.

Operation modes cover stereo, bridged mono, and stereo plus bridged mono at the same time. That last mode is what makes this a practical first amplifier: run your front speakers and a subwoofer from one chassis without a second amp, a second power run, or a distribution block.

Both RCA and high-level inputs are on board. The high-level inputs tie straight into a factory head unit with no preamp outputs, which covers most stock systems in trucks and older vehicles. Input sensitivity adjusts from 0.2V to 9V, a wider range than most amps at this level, so it matches weak factory signal or a hot aftermarket deck.

Class A/B topology with SPEED-FET MOSFET output devices keeps the signal path clean, and QTD aluminum heat sinking carries extra mass to hold temperatures down. Variable electronic crossovers run 12dB per octave, built-in bass control adds switchable 0, +6, or +12dB, and frequency response spans 10Hz to 22kHz.

Nickel-plated brass screw-down terminals take 4 AWG power and ground with 12 AWG speaker wire, and LED diagnostics on the end panel report overload and short conditions. The 8 x 8 x 2.375 in chassis weighs 5.65 lb and comes finished in black and red.
