The Crunch GP-2500.1 Ground Pounder is a mono subwoofer amplifier rated at 2500W max power, delivering 1 x 1250W at 4 ohms and 1 x 2500W at 2 ohms. Class A/B topology at this output level is becoming rare, and it is the reason to pick this amp: the circuit produces high power with low distortion in the frequencies where a subwoofer actually plays.

Control is where it stands apart from cheaper mono amps. A variable 12dB per octave crossover shapes the top of the sub's range, a subsonic filter sweeps 10Hz to 40Hz to keep the woofer off frequencies the enclosure cannot support, and a 0 to 180 degree phase shift lets you time-align the subwoofer with your door speakers. Phase control alone can fix a system where the bass sounds detached from the rest of the music.

The included wired bass remote mounts anywhere in the cabin, so subwoofer level adjusts on the move. Bass boost is switchable at 0, +6, or +12dB, and frequency response covers 10Hz to 500Hz. Both RCA and high-level inputs are fitted, with input sensitivity from 0.2V to 9V, so a factory head unit works without a converter.

QTD aluminum heat sinking adds mass to keep the amp cool at sustained output. Nickel-plated brass screw-down terminals accept 4 AWG power and ground with 12 AWG speaker wire, LED diagnostics flag overload and short conditions, and dual 30A fusing protects the run. The 10.75 x 8 x 2.375 in chassis weighs 9.2 lb.
