Product Description

The Crunch GP-3500.1D Ground Pounder is a mono Class D subwoofer amplifier stable down to 1 ohm, delivering 1 x 3500W at 1 ohm, 1 x 1750W at 2 ohms, and 1 x 875W at 4 ohms. One-ohm stability is what separates it from the rest of the line: two dual voice coil subwoofers wired to a 1-ohm final load will run here without pushing the amp into protection.

Class D circuitry with SPEED-FET MOSFET output devices keeps efficiency high at that load, and QTD aluminum heat sinking carries extra mass to move heat away during sustained output. A high energy Pulse Width Modulated power supply keeps the draw on the vehicle electrical system as low as this power level allows.

Tuning covers the full range a large subwoofer system needs. A variable 12dB per octave crossover sets the upper limit, a 10Hz to 40Hz subsonic filter keeps the woofers off frequencies the enclosure cannot support, and a 0 to 180 degree phase shift time-aligns bass with the front stage. Bass boost is switchable at 0, +6, or +12dB, and frequency response spans 10Hz to 500Hz.

The included wired bass remote mounts in the cabin for level control on the move. RCA and high-level inputs are both fitted, with input sensitivity from 0.2V to 9V, so factory head units connect directly.

Nickel-plated brass screw-down terminals accept 4 AWG power and ground with 12 AWG speaker wire, LED diagnostics report overload and short conditions, and dual 30A fusing protects the run.
