CSMA180 Mixer Amplifier + 8 DCS6T 70V Drop Ceiling Tile Speakers

Adding paging and background music to an office, retail space, or waiting room with a drop ceiling is a lot simpler when the amplifier and speakers come matched. This kit pairs the JBL CSMA180 commercial mixer amplifier with eight Rockville DCS6T 70V speakers, each pre-mounted in a standard 2' x 1' ceiling tile, so a complete ceiling audio system arrives in one order. Installation comes down to lifting out an existing tile, setting a DCS6T in its place, and running speaker wire back to the amp. Every speaker has a rear tap selector for 10W, 5W, 2.5W, or 1.5W on 70V lines, and tapping all eight at 10W adds up to the CSMA180's 80W rating, while lower taps keep a hallway or break room quieter than the main floor. The 6.5" paper cone driver is tuned for clear speech and announcements but still sounds full on music, and its 105° dispersion pattern spreads sound evenly under each tile.

The CSMA180 puts out 80W from a fanless 1U chassis, so it fits a single rack space and stays silent in an AV closet or back office. It connects straight to 70V and 100V distributed lines without a separate transformer, takes balanced mic/line and unbalanced RCA sources across four inputs, and uses priority muting to drop the music when a page goes out. Illuminated volume rings stay easy to read in dim rooms, independent bass and treble controls tune the sound to the space, and RJ45 ports accept JBL CSR-V in-wall volume controls. A rack mounting kit is included.
