CSMA180 Mixer Amplifier + 8 DCS8T 70V Drop Ceiling Tile Speakers

Putting paging and background music into an office, restaurant, or retail space with a 2' x 2' drop ceiling gets a lot simpler when the amplifier and speakers are already matched. This kit pairs the JBL CSMA180 commercial mixer amplifier with eight Rockville DCS8T 70V speakers, each with an 8" driver pre-mounted in a standard 2' x 2' ceiling tile, so the full system shows up in one order. Installation comes down to lifting out an existing tile, setting a DCS8T in its place, and running speaker wire back to the amp.

Each speaker has a rear tap selector for 10W, 5W, 2.5W, or 1.5W on 70V lines. Tap all eight at 10W and the load reaches the CSMA180's 80W rating, or set a few at 5W to leave headroom while hallways and restrooms stay quieter than the main floor. The 8" paper cone, 10 oz ferrite magnet, and 91 dB sensitivity are tuned for clear announcements and speeches with enough body for background music and chimes, and the 105° dispersion pattern spreads sound evenly beneath each tile.

The CSMA180 puts out 80W from a fanless 1U chassis, so it takes one rack space with the included rack mounting kit and runs silently in a closet or back office. It connects straight to 70V or 100V distributed lines with no separate transformer, accepts balanced mic/line and unbalanced RCA sources across four inputs, and uses priority muting to pull the music down when a page goes out. Illuminated volume rings, independent bass and treble controls, and RJ45 ports for JBL CSR-V in-wall volume controls round out a system built to play all day.
